Evolution Gaming, a live casino provider, obtained twice as much revenue in the second quarter of 2017 due to the popularity of its mobile applications.

In three months (from April to June), company’s income reached €42.3 million, which was 56% more than it obtained previous year during the same period. Profit for the quarter increased up to €19.2 million (81% more).

While previously net income for the similar period was €7.6 million, in 2017 it grew up to €14.6. The margin growth was 34.6% (6.5 points higher).

The second quarter showed the increasing popularity of online casino live games. According to the reports of company’s B2B customers, the total volume of bets grew by 1 billion euros and reached up to 2.2 billion euros in comparison with 2016.

For the first time, mobile income generated more than a half (52%) of Evolution’s total profit.

Martin Carlesund, CEO at Evolution Gaming, said that the rest of 2017 would be “an intense period in terms of expansion of new environments” for the company.

Evolution has already received approval to launch its new live dealer production studio in Tbilisi, Georgia, which will join company’s existing facilities in Malta and Riga, Latvia.
