Grand Hotel Kempinski Riga, a four-star European-styled hotel in the historical center of the capital of Latvia, will have its own casino soon. It is being established by Storm International, the owner of the international group of Shangri La casinos: this venue will be the fourth one.

Shangri La casinos are located in Tbilisi (Georgia), Minsk (Belarus) and Erevan (Armenia). The brand presents itself as a casino with the high-class service level: Georgia has given Shangri La the Golden brand 2016 award and recognized it as the best gambling venue. Storm International also owns the network of slot machine halls in Germany.

Riga future Shangri La casino will be styled after other venues and hotel design: European popular Art Deco style. Designers have used luxury furniture, natural wood decoration, mirrors, author’s accessories, frescos.

Gambling halls of Shangri La casino are located on two floors. The first one includes a sports bar and slot machine halls; the second one allows to play poker, roulette and blackjack. The casino also features a VIP room.

Casino opening is scheduled on mid-October, one month and a half after hotel official opening.

By the way, according to the new legislation, Riga casinos are not allowed to be opened in the historical canter, save for ones located in four- or five-star hotels.
